Ivy Lea Small Vessel Wharf

Client: The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands
Project Summary:
The project scope was for the replacement of the existing small vessel wharf and boat ramp in the hamlet of Ivy Lea.
Key Features of the new wharf included:

8 5/8” concrete filled pipe piles driven minimum 24” into pre-drilled bedrock. Wave and Ice uplift forces were resisted without using rock anchors. These forces were resisted by the combination of socketing the piles into the bedrock combined with the weight of the concrete filled piles and the concrete deck.
